3 beautiful pups in TX...Does anybody know where i can find redbone coonhound puppies for sale?
Someone in my yahoo group (group named Redbones) just posted an email about two Redbones who were recently rescued and are in a shelter in Mansfield, which is on the south side of Dallas/Ft. Worth. The person who posted this is Gail Rushing. Marilyn (at shelter) can be reached at 817-477-2038.

I write books about dogs, and Tulip's answer is excellent advice.

I would just add that the best way of finding the right puppy for you is to belong to a breed club BEFORE you get your puppy. Go to their meetings, shows etc. Meet other owners, talk about their dogs, and sooner or later, if people know you are looking for a puppy, and are serious, they will come up with a good suggestion where a puppy might be available.

Then they know that the puppy is getting a responsible owner, and are around when you have problems; all puppies have problems - they are like children!

Best of luck

1.NEVER BUY A PUPPY just LOOKS, colour, looks, fur type alone-NO INDICATION OF DOGS TEMPERMENT!

2.Consider your lifestyle-

3-Are you out more then 8hours a day

4.-Consider your energy requirements, Size, Grooming.

5. Don't just buy because someone says this is the dog for you, people particular on yahoo answer will give you there particular favourite breed%26amp; what suits them, not what actually suit you.

6-Read all you can-THERE are alot of false information on the web and in books about different dog breed.

7.DON'T TRUST THOSE DOG BREED SELECTORS-MOST OF THE RESULTS ARE INCORRECT. Ex i search large breed dogs, and the Pomeranian came up, which of cause is a toy dog breed!!

8-NEVER BUY FROM A PETSTORE, BACKYARD BREEDER, PUPPY MILL OR NEWSPAPER, DON'T BUY FROM NEXT DAY PETS OR DOG BREED INFO, RESCUE AN ADULT DOG OR SHELTER PUPPY!
