I found a home in a neighboring state. It has almost exactly everything I would want for building my home. I am not interested in relocating. Is there a way to get the house plans? I have searched through many plans on the Internet and found nothing exactly like this home. This house is a perfect model of what I want, minus some of the space and extras. How do I get floor plans for a home I found for sale on the Internet?
go to the builders website. it may be a custome floor plan only offered by that builderHow do I get floor plans for a home I found for sale on the Internet?
Try eplans.com.
Write to the seller. They would know since they live there.
Go online and get the web address for the City Hall in the city where the house is located. Submit the address for the building or house that you want the blue prints for.
There may be no way to get the plans, but you could get lucky if the house was built by a contractor who is still in business, AND the owner knows who built it AND is willing to cooperate.
You might be able to find some information from the county or City Building Inspector's office.
Otherwise, you may just have to take the pictures and sketches to your contractor to show him what you want. They can probably build it however you like it, with or without plans.
