check out the pennysaver in your area. or online for your area.Anybody live in the bay area of california that has puppies for sale or for adoption?
I suggest that you check out the pet pounds operated in just about every city in the Bay Area. Fremont has a nice one on Stevenson Blvd and there is a fairly new facility on Monterey Rd in San Jose. Check out your phone book or computer for further sites. The adoption fees are very reasonable but I think they require that the animal be spared or neutered. I think it costs about $75. We visit these facilities just to see the pets but I can see that they are very well run. The one in San Jose even has a small room where you can interact with the dog or cat of your choice to help make up your mind. Be patriotic and adopt a good old American Mutt. Good Luck!!!
google (breed name) rescue.

this way you're giving a needy dog a home, and not contributing to the travesty of puppy mills.

they are also very helpful with indicating which animals are good or bad around kids or around other pets.
www.petfinder.com will help. i live in AZ%26lt; whci is close to CA, and we have SOOO many chihuauas in our shelter, as well as a few pomeraninas.
hey i have 3 puppies available. mix chihuahuas. contact me at jen25pink@yahoo.com for more details and pictures.

Lots of these animals need homes before they are put to sleep, plus my friend tells me they pay for all the shots, lots of them are nuetered or fixed already, they're licensed and they send you home with a bag of food to help you out! :)
GO to pet finder.com
I don't live in that area.

Try looking in your local humane society or animal control before you look for a high priced puppy :)

Good luck!
