Where can I find boxer puppies for sale in Connecticut?

Hi there I am a Veterinary Technician in CT and hope to help! Boxers are WONDERFUL dogs, I cannot say enough good things about them!!

If you are looking to purchase a puppy from a breeder I suggest you only deal with breeders who are affiliated with AKC. If you visit the website for the Boxer Club of America (http://americanboxerclub.org/) you can inquire about breeders and future litters. For direct information on puppies/litters you can contact abcquestions@americanboxerclub.org directly. They are the primary contact for litters.

If you prefer to adopt a Boxer in need I suggest you visit the website of the Northeastern Boxer Rescue (http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/MA20.h鈥?/a> Someone above mentioned that rescues are cheeper and I would like to clarify. Yes, adoption fees/donations of rescue dogs are less expensive than breeder fees, HOWEVER a rescue dog is NOT a cheeper dog! I am not trying to discourage you from rescuing at all (I own several rescue dogs and would not have it any other way!), but please be aware that I have spent more(!!!!) in vet bills on my rescues than the dogs I purchased from breeders. Again, I am not trying to discourage you, I just don't want you to be mislead!

Good luck and hope this helps!!!

NOTE: I would like to recommend that you steer clear from websites such as puppyfind.com, nextdaypets.com, terrificpets.com, etc. Typically our experience at our clinic involving puppies from those websites are the puppies are a result of puppy millers/puppy brokers. Many have heartbreaking genetic problems and/or serious illnesses. Please be very selective when it comes to finding a reputable and respectable breeder! Boxers have serious health issues dealing with genetics. For breeder red flags you can visit this website (http://www.bmdcnv.org/puppy/BadBreederRe鈥?/a> I know he site was developed for Bernese Mountain Dogs (I work closely with this rescue group), but the same applies to breeders of all breeds. Good luck :)Where can I find boxer puppies for sale in Connecticut?

Buy a newspaper and look it up in classifieds.
Go to petfinder.com type in boxers and put in your zip code and you will find many boxers that are looking for a home at your nearby shelters.

Or you could go to this link: http://www.americanboxerclub.org/usboxer鈥?/a>

It is a list of the akc boxer breeders throughout the country.
Boxers are a pretty common breed so I would start by looking in the local newspaper. If you think you found a puppy you like, make sure you visit the breeder in person to make sure that all the dogs are healthy and happy. Don't buy a puppy if something feels or looks wrong.

You can also check out puppyfind.com. I used it when I was looking for a puppy and found a breeder only 1 hour away from me.
