Why not use Battersea Dogs Home or another rescue centre. Many of them have pedigree animals and the fee is notional to cover injections and a starter kit. THey also give you excellent advice and you will avoid giving profits to a breeder and instead contribute to the welfare societies. Also you will be giving an animal a home that would otherwise be in a cage in a dogs home.

I found the breeder of my Dobermann at crufts.
There's a Discover dogs exibition in November which is pretty cool to help you decide what you're looking for as they have nearly all the breeds available. look on Kennel club uk website. They also have advice on finding a pup.
